Suzi Phoenix - the visionary behind Sacred Crafts

I am Suzi Phoenix, and my work has always been about one thing: helping people return to themselves. My work lives at the meeting point of craft, psyche, and spirit.

I first learned to read tarot at the age of 15, which began a lifelong love. This early connection eventually deepened through further training and decades of personal and professional practice.

I have also been a practising pagan for over 30 years and dedicated as a Priestess of Avalon in 2009. This initiation continues to inform the way I hold space, work with energy, and approach creativity as a sacred act, drawing on my intuition and inspiration from the Goddess in all her forms.

My professional path began in therapeutic work. I am a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor and spent 15 years working within the NHS and in private practice supporting individuals and groups to make positive changes in their lives. Part of this work involved me in 1:1 and group sessions for Mental Health clients.

Later in life, at the age of 50, I learned to sew. This was a massive learning curve with lots of doubts along the way! I set up and ran Avalon Cloaks for 12 years in Glastonbury, designing and handcrafting Cloaks and Robes for Pagans, Priestesses, Witches, and Druids. Each piece was made-to-measure and often embellished and personalised. Through this, I discovered a new language of expression through cloth, design and sewing.
